Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My!

The lions and tigers were fun, but The Giant Panda Exhibit was much more exciting to see. We learned lots of fun things about the Panda bears. This one is almost 2 yrs old. She kept pacing around the enclosure she was in. I thought that Panda bears were bigger but she was about 3 feet tall when standing on all four legs. Spring was definitely in the air while we were there. The two older panda's were closed off to spend some quality time together. It was their mating season. This zoo is the only one in the world with naturally mating panda's. Everywhere else artificial insemination is used to help the panda population grow. Baby panda's are only 3 or 4 inches long at birth and have no fur for the first few weeks. Interesting isn't it.

thats so fun! when we were there years ago (four and a half) there was a brand new baby panda. It was so exciting it was so tiny, and they only let a certain amount of people in at a time and only twice a day, it was so nice to be there are that time to get to see that. Looks like yall are really having fun
