Okay I'm going to be totally honest and say that before we went to Disney Land I wasn't a Disney Land fanatic. We lived only 4 hours away from this amazing place and we didn't make any effort to go until we were moving 3500 miles away. Jon and I decided to make this vacation all about our darling little Ila so we planned our days around what she would want to see. The Disney Princess Faire was the first on our list. We waited 1 1/2 hrs to meet three princesses. It was well worth the wait. Ila got to meet Cinderella and she sprinted into her arms as soon as she saw her. Ila almost knocked her over, it was so cute! Cinderella got several hugs from one very awestruck little girl.
You can't go to Disney Land with out seeing Mickey. It would be criminal to miss it. Ila loved every character we met. She walked timidly up to them and gave a big hug. She held onto all of the for a long time. Then she talked to them for about 30 seconds and waved goodbye. Ila got to pick out one souvenir so we looked at the dolls that were at the Princess Faire. When we go to stores we let Ila hold whatever she wants to. She knows that she can't take it home and that she can only hold one toy at a time. She is amazing in stores, never throws a fit because she wants something she can't have. It was so sweet to see her at the princess store. She would hold a doll or a toy for a little while and then put it back and pick out another one to hold. I told her she could pick out one to take home and it took a little while for her to realize that we were going to buy her a toy. She found these dolls that were two dolls in one. Instead of legs underneath the skirt it was another doll head when you turn the doll upside down the skirt is different on the other side. She chose the Cinderella and Belle doll and has slept with it every night since. In the picture she is holding Belle.Tinker Bell was so little! I asked Jon if he thought they would hire me to be Tinker Bell, we had a good laugh about that. I'm more Jolly Green Giant material, in fact that was one of many nicknames I received in high school.
