Prima Ballerina

I know she doesn't look happy, but trust me, she is just bursting inside.  This is Ila's first ballet class.  She LOVES it. 

Sorry for the terrible pic, but I thought it was just perfect that she was the only one with a blue leotard, and she sat in the middle of her class.  Picture Perfect!  (at least it would be if I had a better camera, and I wasn't across the gym trying not to disturb her class.)

Here's a smile!  We were getting ready to go to ballet for the 2nd time.  Ila and I went to Target on a mommy daughter date and she got to pick out her ballet clothes.  She picked the blue leotard and I helped her pick the black one, because I just couldn't help myself, she's so stinkin cute wearing it. 

Hair all up and ready to do some serious dancing.  I used to go to a ballet class when I was little.  I remember that we had to have our hair up in a braid or ponytail.  It was a requirement!  Ila's class isn't that picky about hair, in fact she is the only little girl with her hair up each week, but I still have standards to uphold.  And (the real reason her hair gets done) I get to put in matching bows, it's important to have a bow you know. 

Ila asks me everyday if we can go to ballet and I have to remind her that we go on Tuesdays.  She looks forward to it and I love watching her become more independent.  I am so proud of her.  She listens to her teacher and follows most directions with out getting distracted.  I'm always worried that she wont listen to other adults since she's always home with me.  She rarely goes to a babysitter and isn't in preschool so I was even more excited to be able to watch her and see her respect her teacher. 

Now she will randomly repeat some of the ballet terms and performs her skills for us.  She's amazing and super cute to watch.  Aahhh I love little girls.
