First Things First

We had a make your own lasagna night. Ila loved putting together her dinner! I think I'll do that more often. She should start pulling her own weight right? All 29 pounds of it. And, if you notice in the back of this picture I have crossed over to domestic awesomeness and I can now make my own french bread. It is soooo much better tasting than the store bought stuff. In the near future I plan on adding other types of bread to my incredible bread making talents. I'll keep you posted.

More cheese please!

Jon convinced me that we needed a juicer and we have loved making our own fresh juice. Carrot is our favorite. And we have more than paid for buying it when it would have cost $5 per cup of carrot juice at a smoothly store. I'm excited too because it came with a cookbook that uses fruit and vegetable pulp in muffin and bread recipes. I can be a sneaky chef without too much effort and if I'm ever worried about my family being regular I can just add some pulp into whats for dinner and everyone will be just fine. (Sorry if that's too graphic for you. Being a mom has given me the liberty to talk about all kinds of things I never thought possible.)
Speaking of funny poop stories. Last week we had a ward Luau so we went to enjoy the festivities and food. Ila declared she had to go poop, she never ceases to amaze me who she says that in front of, the girl has no shame. So Jon helps her take care of business. After the job is done, Ila tells Jon that her poop is spicy. She asks, "Daddy is your poop spicy sometimes too?" Oh I think I would have just died laughing. When they come back she tells me what happened and asks me the same question. I reply, "yeah, sometimes." "Oh, mommy, my poop is spicy and sometimes yours it too!" We laughed the whole way home about that one. I just hope she doesn't ask anyone else if their poop is spicy.

You are such a domestic goddess! You put us lazy ones who buy our bread to shame! Way to go! Love the poop story too.

Hilarious! Glad to hear from you! Alaska seems so far away but the blogging world helps to connect. :)
