Snow In Vegas

This is to prove to all you out there that it did indeed snow in Las Vegas. We are actually at Mt. Charelston and it snows every year there. The snow we had in the valley was only on the ground until about 10 a.m. the next morning. The roads, schools, airport, and more were closed, go figure. It was the most snow Las Vegas has seen in 30 years. Up to 6 inches in some parts of the valley. Where we live, we only got a thin layer of frost.

We love getting out of Las Vegas any time we can. Just drive an hour and there are so many things to do. Shamoo actually did very well on our little slope. We had a hard time finding sleds at any of the stores. In desperation we went to DI and looked for anything that would work, we found this inflatable Shamoo and thought it might be fun. Ila called him a dolphin and kept talking about sledding with her dolphin the whole next week.

We didn't finish our snowman but it was a good start!

How fun! We have had no snow when it is actually above ten degrees! I am so hoping that next time we get a good snow I can take the kids out to play in it!
