We camped in Seward the week before Memorial Day. Jon went on a halibut charter while the girls and I went to the Sea Life Center with our friends the Elordi's. The first night we stayed in our tent, but because of reservation complications we stayed in a yurt the second night we were there. This was the first of many camping trips we went on this summer.
Watermelon has to be the best camping food imaginable.
Except maybe marshmallows, they are pretty good too!
Here's our yurt that we slept in. A spacious 12 ft area complete with three cots a dining table and 4 chairs. We got too hot in the yurt, it wasn't nearly drafty enough for us. Next time we'll make sure to open the windows before we go to sleep. I'd never heard of a yurt before we moved up here. It was fun to stay in one, even if for only one night.
