Bear Paw Festival

Summer in Alaska is filled to the brim with outdoor activities and festivals.  I took the kids to Eagle River to the Bear Paw Festival so we could see the parade and enjoy some small town festivities.

 Ila found a friend to stand by and gather candy with.  I was very surprised at the amount of candy Ila took home.  She was pretty excited about it and loved watching the floats go by.

After the parade we went to the carnival.  Ila rode all the rides she was tall enough for, which was only about 6.  She's almost tall enough to go on the big rides, but I don't think she's ready for them. 

We had a fun day and both kids fell asleep on the way home.  That's a wonderful day in my mind!
