Prince Charming

Jon had three days off in the middle of the week so he's been home helping me with housework and playing with Ila. Tonight after Ila's bath we got her ready for bed and she ran back into the bathroom and got out the fingernail polish. I painted her toe nails blue and her finger nails pink as per her request. She then insisted that I paint my nails so I chose a purple for my finger nails. After I was done we admired our beautiful nails and she proclaimed that Daddy needed a turn. He was such a good sport and didn't even skip a beat when he said, okay, and Ila picked out a nice blue for his toe nails too. This was her first nail painting experience as the manicurist and she did remarkably well!

You can't break this kindof concentration. She made sure to get every spot at least twice.

The finished product. She was so proud of herself and I am so proud of my husband who will play with our daughter. A true man. I love it that he will play dolls or barbies or princess's with her. She loves her daddy. She has some little dolls from Cinderella. One Cinderella doll and one Prince Charming doll, but she calls him Cinderella's Daddy. Ila's daddy is her Prince Charming, he's always there to save the day, and she is always the princess. I love stories with happy endings!
