I don't know if it's because we are in an old house, or if the light bulbs we get from Self Help on Base are really cheap. It seems like every month we have to change the light bulbs because they are constantly going out on us. The light in Ila's bedroom went out so Jon got out the step stool and changed yet another light bulb. Ila watched intently while he was working. She was very upset that her light wouldn't go on when she flipped the switch. When Jon was done and the light came on Jon told Ila to say Thank You to Thomas, (Thomas Edison). Now every time we turn on a light Ila says "Thank you Thomas!" It's so cute. I am always surprised at what she remembers and repeats to us days or weeks after the original incident happened. Kids are so much fun and so exciting to watch as they grow up. I just wish she would grow a little slower, I can't believe it's almost the end of another year.

Yay! I'm so glad you found me! I have been wondering how you were doing so much over the past couple of years. Ila is absolutely beautiful and I can tell that you are a wonderful mom. Yeah...who would have thought what all these years would bring. I miss being close to all of my friends, but I guess as we all grow older and we have life takes us all different directions. We move back to Provo in June, so if you are ever going through that area, let me know. Maybe Utah will be your next home instead of Italy! J/K! Italy would be way more exciting! Annie
That's so smart. Thank you Thomas. That'll make a simple school lesson reminder on electricity. Kids are amazing and they grow up way too fast. When our kids light bulb went out, they were crying because "the battery died." We couldn't stop laughing and get a kick out of having them repeat it everytime a lightbulb dies. We should teach them the real thing huh.=)
As for the old houses with lightbulbs going out. When Glen was deployed, his parents came out and his dad replaced over 11 lightbulbs in the week he was there. I was amazed at how many lightbulbs I was still constantly changing until Glen came home. Thank you men for taking care of the little things.=)
