Ila and I drove up to Victor Idaho for Jon's Family Reunion. Sadly he couldn't come so we went without him and left him home all alone to eat frozen burritos and chips for a week and a half. He reverts to being a bachelor when I'm gone. We stayed at his sisters cabin, which was amazing. Beautiful scenery, the best weather on earth, spacious, comfortable, and luxurious, and time spent with our family, who could ask for more. I can. I wish Jon could have come, but we didn't want to miss out either so we went by ourselves. I never have been too dependent anyone else. Why not drive 12 hours by myself with a 2 yr old? The cabin is located on a very nice golf course with ponds in it, so what did we do? Go fishing. Yep fishing in the the pond on the golf course. We caught quite a few fish, and released all but one. He (the fish) stole the hook from us on the first day and believe it or not the kids caught him on the second day. Sadly the fish could not handle being caught two days in a row and died. Ila had a ball fishing, she is such a pro as you can imagine. Mostly she just watched, and I took pictures.Picking the grass. She brought me "flowers" which was so sweet. She is such a girl and loves flowers, just like her mommy.
Determination! Can you see her tongue? She was reeling in a big one. (At least that's what I told her)
Ila is one of 10 cousins in Jon's family. 6 of them are 2 and under. We had fun scheduling naps and trying not to wake each other up, and still trying to get out and do things together. The kids loved the kiddie pool, of course. I forgot Ila's swimming suit, (can't believe I did that) so she got to swim in a pair of cotton shorts. She saw her boy cousins with out their shirts on so naturally she wanted her shirt off too.
